Sleep

10 07 2008

I like sleeping.  It makes me good and gives me energy.  Though I usually sleep for about 6 hours, it’s not enough for me.  I want to (or must) sleep for more than 8 hours every day.  Because my sleeping hour is short, I often fall asleep in some classes.  You may think my sleeping hour is long, but it’s very short for me!

On weekdays, I usually sleep when it passes 12 at night.  I set my alarm for 6:00, but I can’t wake up at the time.  I wake up when the bell rings, but I stop the bell, and sleep again.  So I often get up late and sometimes go to school late.  If you know the way of waking up on time, please tell me that.

On weekends, I often sleep a lot, so I eat breakfast and lunch at the same time, and rarely, I eat only dinner.  But this sleeping gives me energy and I can get up easily on the first day of the next week.

Travel

18 06 2008

When I was a high school student, I went to Kanto Area(In fact, students went to the Kawaguchi Lake in Yamanashi and many places in Tokyo) on my school trip in summer.  It seems a little strange to people who lives in Kanto Area to go there as a school trip.  But my high school is in Hiroshima, which is about 800 kilometers away from Tokyo, and students in Hiroshima had hardly been there.  So it was special for us to go there.

We went there by shinkansen.  The first day, we visit Kawaguchi Lake and stayed the night at a hotel near the lake.  It was a very beautiful place because when it is sunny, you can see Mt. Fuji from the lake.  But it was rainny on our stay there, and we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji.  I wanted to see that.

The next day, we went to Odaiba in Tokyo.  We visited the Fuji Television and we did shopping.  The evening, we went to see a musical, the Lion King.  I thought musicals boring before I saw it, but it was very impressing for me.  I felt musicals very interesting.

The third day my friends and I went to many places in Tokyo, for example, Ueno, Shibuya, and Asakusa.  We had a good time there, but only one problem happened.  It was on our way back to the hotel we stayed.  We were running because we would be late for the time we would get back. Suddenly, we felt an earth shake.  But fortunately, it was not hard, so we didn’t have any injuries.  When we got back to the hotel, I heard some classmates would be late because the shake made trains late.  I can’t remember whether we were late, but some students got back to the hotel about three hours after we did.   They looked tired.  This day became an forgetful day for us.

The forth day, we went to play at the Tokyo Disney Land.  We had a very happy time there from the open to 8 o’clock p.m.  There was no accident like the day before.

The last day, we visited the Diet Building.  The building were very big and I thought it something like a castle.  After the visit, we went to Tokyo Station and went back to Hiroshima by shinkansen.

I remember it was a very special time and I hope to travel with the friends again.

Reviewing a Movie A・I

10 06 2008

A・I is a sad story.  The story is like Pinocchio, which is an adventure of a boy who is made of wood.  The hero of A・I is a boy, David(Haley Joel Osment), who is a robot programmed to love a mother, and his appearance is the same as that of an ordinary human.  Without the programmed, he has no special skill as a robot.

David was sent to a family which had a dying son, Martin(Jake Thomas), to give love the mother of the family, Monica(Frances O’Connor)by a robot company. At the first time that David come to the family, Martin was not there because of his sickness.  David was loved by Monica, and he also loved her.  He was very happy with Monica.

But some time later, Martin recovered and come back to the family.  David got confused because Monica also loved Martin.  David tried to get Monica’s love more, but it only made Monica confused.

One day, David accidentally involved Martin in an accident endangering Martin’s life.  Then, Monica began to think whether she would discard David.  Finally, she did, but she also throw away a robot of bear, Teddy, with him not to make David feel very lonely.  David felt very sad.  But he decided to see Monica again and started to walk…

A・I is a very moving story.  If you watch this movie, you will find your heart warm.

Animal Encounters

28 05 2008

I like animals belonging to a cat family, such as cats, lions, and pumas. They are very clever and look graceful.  I think cats are the cleverest.

When I was a high school student, some cats sometimes came to our school. They always came there at the lunch time. Everyone gave them a part of their lunch, so the guests (cats) were satisfied and as soon as the lunch time are over, they went back somewhere.  I thought they knew when the lunch time is and that they could eat food till they became full. Moreover, most of the students didn’t realize themselves being deceived because they were very cute.

Also, cats behaves very graceful.  Imagine when they are walking. They look like a king or a queen because they don’t make sound of their steps.  But when they are sleeping, they never look graceful.  They are like an animal which has no enemy.

Needless to say, their behaviors draw our attentions.

My Hometown

1 05 2008

My hometown, Fukuyama, is located in the east of Hiroshima prefecture. Fukuyama is about 800 kilometers away from Tokyo. In the south of the city there is a sea, Setonaikai, in which you can fish many kinds of seafood, such as fish, shells, octopus, and so on.

The climate in Fukuyama is very calm. From spring to winter, it rains less than any other area in Japan. However, it causes short of water once some years. So there are many dams and ponds in my hometown.

One of the most famous places in Fukuyama is Fukuyama Castle. It was built about 200 years ago, but it was burn because of the World War Ⅱ.  So you can see the rebuild castle now.

The most famous person I think is Abe Masahiro, which lived at the end of Edo period. He gave great influences to the time. He made the Reform of Ansei, which made one of the chances of Meiji Restoration.

When you are free, try to visit my hometown. You will see many thing which you can feel Japan.
